WHERE THIS ALL BEGAN

Have you ever thought about how some people can sit perfectly upright with ease — as if a giant’s hand is gently supporting their back —, while others tend to cave, curl, or collapse in on themselves?

Believe it or not, I’ve been curious about this ever since I was in kindergarten.

Now why, exactly, would my innocent little mind be pulled in this very unusual direction?

Well, that’s because, when it came time for all of us to sit in our customary ‘reading circle’… unlike all the other kids in my class… I simply couldn’t do it.

I mean, if I didn’t prop myself up (on an outstretched arm), I’d end up caving/collapsing in on myself… or else I’d just tip over.

Whereas— with everyone else— this seemingly impossible act appeared totally effortless.

SO, WHAT EXACTLY WAS IT ABOUT THEIR BODIES THAT ALLOWED THEM TO DO THIS AND NOT MINE?

I eventually discovered my answer to this mysterious conundrum, late into my 20s. And now, despite even a quarter century of slouching (since birth), I can effortlessly sit/stand upright for the first time in my life (and furtherbask in all the comfort and confidence that comes along with it)!

During this time in my life (of what I now call, “my casual rehabilitation transformation”), I hadn’t fully realized it yet, but the discovery of my physical improvement method had not only allowed me to optimize my outer appearance but— in addition to that— literally granted me with the power to make myself taller! A full 2.5 inches (so far)!

What’s even crazier still… the way I had gone about it was so easy… that, in fact, I didn’t even know it was all that special!

Actually, it wasn’t until after those who were reading about my progress online began reaching out to me — asking me how they could do it too — that I even became aware of the fact that the results I had achieved were so incredibly desirable!

Now, I have to admit, this intrigued me. So, before ya know it, I got to work!

And— believe it or not— after collecting all of my experiences and working my way back to the beginning, I inevitably discovered exactly how I was able to accomplish these miraculous results.

After detailing these conclusions, I officially labeled it: The Posture Switch.

What’s “The Posture Switch?

Well, before we jump into that, there’s one major item that I need to point out in particular, when it comes to this method of physical optimization:

As I was cross-referencing my experiences, it soon dawned on me that the primary reason I was able to discover such a unique method of posture improvement (and literal growth), was in no small part due to constantly searching inwards to find my answers.

It was through this means of intrinsic self-discovery, that I was able to uncover a series of secretly-imbedded physio-mechanical developmental techniques, which have (over time) allowed me to take gigantic leaps forward in my own physical appearance, development and maturity.

Just to be clear with you, these secretly embedded physical developmental techniques are exactly what I wrote this book about.

What does this mean for you?

This means, that when you’re working with my method, all of your progress will be stemming from the inside out.

In other words: Instead of having to buy some fancy new gadget— or needing to purchase a gym membership in order to improve your body’s posture through an exercise program— this method will only require from you the exact same set of tools.. which you’ve already been equipped with.. from birth.

WHAT, EXACTLY, SEPARATES GOOD POSTURE FROM BAD POSTURE?

THIS POINT RIGHT HERE.

In my method, I label this point in your body as your ‘Posture Switch’.

Now, I know, if you’ve studied up on posture improvement before, you must be thinking: “Oh, that’s why you need to strengthen your lats and lower traps. Duh.”

To which I would retort: No. Not with this method.

In this method, your Posture Switch does not have any requirements of strength from your lats or lower traps. Your Posture Switch is, in fact, much deeper than that. But… since we’re working solely from the inside-out… the depth of your Posture Switch also makes it much more easily accessible!

Yet, before we jump into these deeper logistics, let’s quickly shine some light on a simple yet, very important, concept:

If your Posture Switch is flipped On: You can casually and powerfully sit or stand upright. Simple.

On the other hand, if your Posture Switch is currently in it’s Off-Mode, then your body is stuck in a kind of ‘powered-down‘ position. Makes sense so far…?

so then how does one successfully flip their Posture Switch back into its On-Position?​

And that’s where the fun begins!

In this method, you’ll utilize what is referred to as Posture Mechanisms to flip your own Posture Switch

These mechanisms are socially-covert, internal-based leveraging techniques, specifically designed to decongest (open) your ribcage, elongate your spine and fully activate your diaphragm (your major breathing muscle).

By rehabbing this trifecta (ribcage, spine, diaphragm), you will be able to successfully flip your Posture Switch back into its On Position; permanently restoring the luxury of comfortably sitting/standing tall and upright, once again.

A VERY QUICK STORY RECAP:

It was about five years ago that I began uncovering this method of posture improvement. And yet, without performing a single traditional posture exercise or stretch, I was able to fully open my chest, lift up my spine, relax my shoulders, relieve myself from a lifetime of chronic tension/pain, and (last but not least) add an additional 2.5″ to my total height (in my late 20’s and early 30’s). 

I continue to apply this casual method every day, all while continuing to take nothing short of fist-pump-worthy progress on a near routine basis.

Now, what others have found instinctively special about this method (and you will too) is, unlike traditional physical therapy-based posture correction exercise routines, the application of this method has the additional luxury of being performed on a socially-covert level.

In other words, nearly all of the deep-seated physique improvement techniques can be performed within a social setting— without anyone around you becoming distracted by what you’re doing— or even noticing. And yet, over time, it can begin to unfurl even the most uncomfortable and painful of postures, as it had mine.

To top all of this off: This particular method of posture improvement does not (and will never) require any outside influences or the purchase of any additional products on your behalf. Period.

HOW TO BECOME TALLER - THE BROAD STROKES

This Posture Improvement Method is Based on Three Basic Principals: Awareness, Gravity, and Breathing.

  • 1. AWARENESS

    This first principle will enlighten you on how to overcome your posture’s ‘invisible barriers’, which may be unknowingly holding your body back from its real-time potential. (I also call this section: ‘Taking Your Foot Off The Brakes’.)

  • 2. GRAVITY

    The second principle is all about allowing Mother Earth to guide you in the process of relieving pressure off of your major joints. This ‘gentle acceptance’ is used for guiding your body back— as a whole— to naturally fall into better alignment.

  • 3. BREATHING

    And the third principle is for deep-seated structural correction, developing physical maturity, and the continuous development of your vertical presence/stature.

Now that you’ve got an idea of what this method is all about, let’s quickly go over:

GENERAL TIMELINES

The majority of individuals who already have decent posture, aiming for better posture and maximizing their physique, will have these goals underway within a couple months of casual practice.

On the other hand, this book’s deeper purpose is to improve posture for the worst of the worst, and therefore, divided into two sections: Soft Skills and Hard Skills.

Ideally, an individual with very poor posture will take about three months to ‘set the stage’— by working through the Soft Skills Section of this book. This slower, yet more methodical, approach will more aptly prime their body for a sizable change to occur.

This initial period includes: the quitting of unhealthy, unconscious bad habits, the reintegration of their belly with their breathing, and an adequate amount of time for developing an ability to decompress/lengthen their spine at will (by working daily with the Suspension Stance).

The following three months can then be devoted towards incorporating the Hard Skills Sections of this book (with the accompanying CERT Method). These later sections are devoted to overcoming deep-seated postural dysfunction, developing poise, physical maturity, and maximizing an individual’s vertical potential.

AN EXPANSION INTO THE BASIC PRINCIPALS OF THIS METHOD:

This guide for ‘How To Become Taller’, is broken down into two main sections:

  1. Soft Skills – Passive Lengthening

  2. Hard Skills – Active Lengthening

Soft Skills (Passive Lengthening Sections) include: Awareness and Gravity Principals

Through the Awareness and Gravity Sections (your First and Second Principals), you’ll not only learn how to restore any potential height-loss you may have already overseen thus far, but furthermore, know exactly how avoid losing any (near inevitable, otherwise) height as you continue to grow older. Trust me, the sooner you (or anyone) learn(s) this, the better.

Later, in the Hard Skills (Active Lengthening Section), you’ll be directed through the transformative process of flipping your own body’s Posture Switch.

By flipping your Posture Switch from an Off Position— to an On Position— you’ll be able to mechanically unlock a currently closed-off body position into that of a free and open one.

During this causal rehabilitation process, your body’s ‘frame’ will progressively restore your head back above your shoulders, your chest upright, and your shoulders blades back and down — where they belong.

WHERE EXACTLY IS MY POSTURE SWITCH?

Your Posture Switch is a specific junction, located within the center of your body, where three major anatomical structures (body parts) converge:

RIBCAGE, DIAPHRAGM and SPINE

By rehabilitating these three centrally-located anatomical structures through the use of internally-based leveraging techniques, you’ll soon develop the necessary strength, mobility and internal control for flipping your own Posture Switch back into it’s On Position.

In other words, this is where all the magic happens!

What’s the Difference Between a Posture Switch’s On or Off Position?

If your Posture Switch is currently residing in an Off Position: 

Your body’s profile will often take on the appearance of having been ‘powered down’. Within this unfavorable setup, your body is (mostly) forced to operate under the limited range and control of its accumulated tension and musculoskeletal restrictions. As you may presume, this position also tends to operate in a manner that is easily injured and, furthermore, accumulates stress at a much faster rate.

If your Posture Switch is within the range of it’s On Position: 

Your body’s posture will naturally (unconsciously) operate as it has been designed to; you will be able to comfortably (and powerfully) sit or stand upright for long durations of time, and without the excessive accumulation of tension or stress. Also, because of this more ideal positioning, your body will be much more inclined towards athletic-based movement and, in turn, the occurrence of movement-based injuries will decline significantly.

What? Really? How can I do this? How can I flip my Posture Switch and open my posture back up?

BREATHING PRINCIPAL, POSTURE MECHANISMs AND THE CERT METHOD

In this guide, we refer to the utilization of the various internal-based leveraging techniques as, simply: Posture Mechanisms.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A POSTURE MECHANISM?

In the Breathing Sections, a Posture Mechanism is the combination of your nasal-powered breathing, mixed with (a variation of) muscular tension/control within your torso.

Posture Mechanism = Breathing Muscle + Muscular Tension/Control

Within this methodical process of flipping your Posture Switch, the utilization of Posture Mechanisms will be applied in an effort to systematically activate more of your diaphragm (on a neuromuscular level), while simultaneously aid in the release of unhealthy congestion (stickiness/blockages) from within various areas of your ribcage and spine.

In other words, you’ll learn how to leverage your own body’s inner mechanics, for systematically rehabilitating this exact trifecta of anatomical structures making up your (internally-located) Posture Switchsimultaneously.

By rehabilitating this area within your spare time, your body’s musculoskeletal structure will begin to relinquish itself from any ‘chronic misuse of power’ it may be currently operating under (as a result of faulty/congested mechanics residually accumulated over the previous years of your life).

Accordingly, this same process will begin to restore a much more elegant and efficient physio-mechanical system within your body from which to operate from— inevitably revealing a much more visibly open and upright position taking its place. And, as standard byproduct of this transformation, a sense of continuous relief from deep within your body will inherently find itself replacing your previous resting state of accumulating unnecessary tension and stress.

Finally, through the act of routinely applying your socially-covert Posture Mechanisms, you’ll also inevitably begin developing a higher level of control over your own inner mechanics. This particular aspect of the system will lay the necessary groundwork for the intentional creation of additional height, as explained later in the book.

OKAY BUT, WAIT, WHAT IF I'M MOSTLY/ONLY WORRIED ABOUT MY FORWARD DROOPING SHOULDERS?

In this method, your shoulder position will certainly be addressed— but this program isn’t (solely) focused on shoulder positioning… Simply because: The appearance of forward-facing shoulders are, in itself, a symptom, not a cause.

Unlike other programs that miss-the-mark by attempting to jerry-rig the placement of your shoulders, this method will dive deeper than that. This intentional redirection will allow for an incredible opportunity to focus on the root cause(s) of your shoulder displacement. By focusing on your goal this way, you’ll soon be able to permanently unlock the underlying dysfunction prohibiting your shoulder’s ideal placement.

Additionally, by working alongside this more thorough methodology, you’ll be able to reveal (not just a visual bandaid that needs to be consistently re-administered, but) a fully restored upper body which naturally contains balanced, elegant and powerful shoulder placement!

VERY BAD POSTURE AND THE CERT METHOD

Now, if you’d say that your current posture is in particularly poor condition (as in, if you’ve suffered from years or decades of poor posture), then you may find the excessive levels of congestion/stickiness within your ribcage/spine to be (stubbornly) blocking you from easily flipping your Posture Switch back into it’s On-Position. If this is the case, you’ll need to use your Posture Mechanism(s) to undergo multiple CERT Experiences, through use of the CERT Method.

In short, you’ll use a particular Posture Mechanism of your choice like a ratchet, for promptly and safely working through the tight and dysfunctional postural muscles along the length of your spine and ribcage. These (sometimes intense) experiences are critical for resetting the all-too important deep spine-assister muscles back into their working order, and furthermore, restore the function of your posture back to that of its original design.

With this simple method, you’ll easily learn how you can begin moving beyond years (or even decades) of hyper-tense postural muscles (which may have even prohibited previous attempts at posture improvement), for restoring all of your current height-loss, and then further continuing you on to vertical advancement.

As previously mentioned, for those who wish to work beyond simply improving their posture, the Advanced Section will open up their (inner) world for actively lengthening the spine and further developing the musculature surrounding it.
